What to Consider when no one else believes in your dream but you are going for it anyway. You came to the right place. About time you took one long hard look at your dream. At the end of this article, you are going to have to decide if you want it bad enough. You are going to have to decide if you have what it takes. We are going to tell the six questions you ought to be asking yourself.

This decision, to risk it all, is one that ought to be hashed out between you and your conscience. If you can answer all these questions to your satisfaction, think some more. Plan some more. Then commit. Work so hard that the rest of us are forced to see what you knew all along.

c m quotes dreams“Stand up for what you believe in even if it means standing alone…” ― C.M

Just because no one else believes in your goals doesn’t mean you have to be alone on your adventure. Like we said, you came to the right place. But don’t take the kindness for weakness. We won’t be pulling any punches. We have to be certain you are sure.

We are not here to tell you what you want to hear. We’ll leave that to Disney.

Starting your own business will swallow you whole. And starting one that no one believes in will spit you out. Who knows, maybe everyone you know is right. You just might be crazy.

We sort of agree with them. But we need a bit of crazy every now and then. We need someone crazy enough to create the iPod after being fired from a company he built. We need a bit more crazy Civil Rights leaders who are committed enough to stand up against an entire nation of oppression, armed only with a message of peace and unity.

You can’t limit your imagination just because people me think you are crazy. How else do would we inspire others? You achieve.

Belief in Dream Question 1: Are you the right sort of crazy?

Chasing a goal no one thinks is worth the effort is good for you and it is good for those you will surprise with your idea. But passion requires work and commitment. You can’t get stuck on single-mindedness. You have to open up to new ideas and be ready to re-evaluate. Twitter didn’t become a phenomenon on its first try. It evolved from an SMS-based communications platform.

You are going to have to get used to change. Let go of fear. Work hard and be sure. Your crazy should be your passion.

belva davis quotes dream“Don’t be afraid of the space between your dreams and reality. If you can dream it, you can make it so.” ― BELVA DAVIS

A dream on its own is tough enough to achieve. But you have got to have what it takes for the big dream. You need to start by being sure. You’ll have to walk an unproven path. Not a challenge meant for everyone.

You may be better off going to school or sticking to your day job. Maybe be there is a good life to be mad from that too. Might take some time to realize

Belief in Dream Question 2: Have you really considered all the opportunities available to you?

Think hard. You could fall in love with something else in a few years. Your purpose is unshakable. Its something that is a part of you, you can feel it coming up again everytime you push it out of your mind. Sometimes it’s just this multisensory epiphany.

nelson maldela quotes dreams“Remember to celebrate milestones as you prepare for the road ahead.” ― NELSON MANDELA.

It is possible that the world we live in suits you just fine.

Seriously though, you probably just need a new job. Or slow it down. Why not a new position at the same company. A friend of ours has always wanted to be a doctor and every patient she will ever have will be in safe hands. And another friend was pressured by his father to study Engineering instead of finishing his degree in Nutrition. But he didn’t have a passion, he was going through a phase. His curiosity for food and health wore off. He wasn’t sure. He carries on being a happily employed Civil Engineer.

So again, be sure. Be brave. This big dream of yours may take longer than you imagine.

Belief in Dream Question 3: Do you have a plan for the worst-case scenario?

Do you have a plan B? Not an eject button. Do you have a PlanBe-ready-to-survive-the-worst?

Being brave is not the same as being reckless. Be responsible. Whether you realize it or not, you owe it to your self and loved one to be financially secure. No sense in family and friends worrying about you. Have a clear plan and demonstrate anticipation for possible difficulties. Be ready to respond with flexible solutions. Plan until you feel prepared to take a leap of faith.

Belief in Dream Question 4: Are you actually ready?

There is a difference between where we ought to be and where we find ourselves. And that difference is called reality. It would be irrational to expect that we are able to bridge the gap suddenly. Patience is a virtue. Excellence is a habit. Greatness will take time. Make sure you are ready.

paulo cohelo quotes dream“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the Fear of Failure.” ― PAULO COELHO

Chasing a dream no one believes in means you have to make a habit out of overcoming. Consistently walk towards your fears. What terrifies you is simply the excitement of your spirit. You are about to discover what hides on the other side of your insecurities. But be smart. Brave is not the same as stupid.

Don’t tell us you have a dream because you know we have a sweet spot for fairytales. We are pragmatists. We encourage the studious to take the test. We urge the adventurous to dare the challenge. We entice the curious to learn about themselves. But don’t mistake a gamble for an investment. Be sure. Plan. Chase your dream. Create an expression of identity.

Because they don’t believe it doesn’t mean you are wrong.

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.” Bernard M. Baruch

Allow yourself to love your call.

charlie hed quotes dreams“A dream is not something that you wake up from, but something that wakes you up.” ― CHARLIE HED

Belief in Dream Question 5: But have you really thought it all through?

Every dream is different. The soul chooses a personality in this world. Each personality is packaged in a body that comes truly alive when inspired by passion. So everyone has to find their dream, the vessel of purpose.

However unique your life’s goal may be, all dreams require focus, steadfastness, and commitment.

And your big dream can seem small to others. there is nothing wrong with that. Graduate from college. Quit smoking. Provide for your family. Or run your own firm. Your choice.

If they doubt you, let them. Never forget why your dream means so much too you.

delmore schwartz quotes dreams“In Dreams Begin Responsibilities.” ― DELMORE SCHWARTZ

Belief in Dream Question 6: Do you know why?

“Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure.” – Paulo Coelho

Why is it so important that you risk it all?

We have slow days too. But then you remember why you began your journey in the first place. You keep going.

Hold on to your why. Let it resonate. knowing why you persevere will help in the face of adversity.

For those people who are considering making that terrifying leap, quitting a job to start something on their own; Leaving home, for a life of travel; Or maybe that 18-year old rethinking college. Know yourself, trust yourself and let that guide you. But be sure. Know why. And think some more.

If you aren’t ready to go through hell, then play it safe. If you feel prepared, then go for it. The challenges you face are rarely as terrifying as you imagine. Plus the satisfaction of overcoming one’s fears is therapeutic. If you are brave enough to start. You are brave enough to see it through.

eleanor roosevelt quotes dreams“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” ― ELEANOR ROOSEVELT

Be sure. Be brave. Plan. Know why. Go for it.
